Come be part of IMC's new Jazz Choir Program directed by Caity Gyorgy!
The Jazz Choir program includes:
- Vocal Masterclass - Each morning campers in jazz choir will develop the fundamentals of being a great vocalist: warm up, tone, pitch, phrasing, rhythm, diction and breathing. Caity will help students design a personal routine for effective practice going forward.
- Repertoire Class - Jazz choir members will choose a jazz standard that will be workshopped over the course of the week. Caity will help students develop their approach to performing their material which they will perform for the camp at the end of the week. Learn the standards, the classics and some new songs.
- Jazz Choir - Each day Jazz Choir members will discover fun and challenging repertoire. Students will focus on the elements of performing in a large ensemble including blend, articulation and microphone techniques.
- Jam Sessions and Faculty Concerts each evening.
